BIRTHDAY FLOWERS

My birthday is in September and my Painting For Fun workshop was held close to the date. A newcomer to the group arrived with a huge bunch of flowers for me, which immediately called for a painting. I kind of went overboard with adding more flowers, different vases, that insane drapery, and then finally, a plate of neon-iced cupcakes! Needless to say the price of this painting reflects the 3 months that it took me to finish it, and now it is nearly Christmas, and today I signed it (December 16, 2015). Thankfully it is finally finished and framed, as well, since I found two 20 x 24 silver frames that fit both Fixing Supper and Birthday Flowers before either one was finished.
